The porous stone soaks up drips from glasses and the cork bottom protects your table from water rings and scratches. Made from natural 180 million year old sandstone, the color and design were induced by a mineral spring containing iron oxides, making each coaster totally unique. This beautiful product of nature has not been altered in any way, only cut into form and heat treated to bring out the oxidized colors.
