As an expression of mottainai, the craftsmen of Tosa Ryu gather hinoki shavings into rice paper satchels to create scent bags for drawers, closets, and garment bags to repel pests. Hinoki is prized in Japan for its lovely pine fragrance, as well as its anti-microbial and mold-resistant qualities. Each pack contains three satchels.
Based in the mountains of Kochi, Japan, Tosa Ryu have been handcrafting pieces for the home from local hinoki wood since 1960.
